I was really excited to photograph Vanessa & Michael’s engagement session especially because I had already worked with her before for a different project. I just knew it was going to be another amazing session because of her cute and bubbly personality.
Minewaska State Park is always a great choice for any photo session. The scenery is just gorgeous! The rocks, the water, the colors, it’s all there! You couldn’t ask for more.

Photo location ideas.
As you come up to the top parking lot and main entrance to the park you are welcomed by an absolutely beautiful view of the lake. We started photographing right there before exploring the many beautiful spots in the park.
There is a big rock formation at the entrance which is like it was placed there on purpose just for photos. Below are just 3 of the many photos we took there. 🙂
A secret spot.
Since I’ve been to the park countless times, I’m very familiar with great little hidden spots which unless you are aware of them you can easily miss them. The next 3 images were taken at one of these “secret” locations. 🙂
A rock staircase.
Following the location above is a rock staircase which leads to the lake. They seem to change little things there now and then. This day we used the stump as a prop.
I always take some individual photos of the couples as a gift for each other. Beautiful photos they can have of each other at work, phone, wallet etc. 🙂

This area is one of the most versatile locations in the park. One of my favorite spots.
