I met Jenna and Andrew at a place very special to them, a field near Jenna’s home – the same location we would later in the year do another Summer engagement session. There is no rule that says you have to have only one engagement photoshoot. I’m so glad we used that location for both opposite end of the seasons. I’ll post their summer session in a future blog.
I already knew Andrew as I had done a family portrait for them a few years back when he was a teenager. So seeing him again and meeting his fiancée was just so awesome!
One thing I noticed and loved throughout the entire photoshoot was the way Andrew looked at Jenna. He always had the most tender look in his eyes whenever he looked at her or held her in his arms. You see, my work is to pay attention to little things that goes unnoticed by most people and the love I saw that day will be something I will never forget.
The next two photos below show exactly the love and tenderness I saw that day.
After doing all of the “let’s stay dry and not mess up the hair” are done, we decided to let loose and have some fun. lol 🙂
The whole snow theme adds a beautiful contrast to the photos.
Believe it or not, even though we had plenty of snow on the ground that day, it was not cold at all.
I simply cannot let any chance to get great images pass me by. Yes, we were there for an engagement session, but I just had to have some individual photos of Jenna and Andrew taken as well. Look at the images below. 🙂
We decided to finish our session with a real run in the snow where anything goes. lol
So after about an hour outside playing around in the snow ( which felt more like 20 mins ) I couldn’t wait to get back to my office and go through all of the images. Of course of the couple hundred images we took these are just a small fraction of what we did that day.
My motto for all winter engagement sessions is… It’s Never Too Cold For Romance! 🙂
