I was looking forward to working with Stephanie & Josh for their engagement session not only because of their fun personality but also because it was going to be at one of my favorite places – The Bronx Botanical Gardens. What a great combination that was… an adventurous couple and an amazing location. 🙂
Right away we started to explore the area and it was idea after idea for their photos. I must admit that I even though their session lasted for a couple hours, I could’ve stayed there for the whole day and yet not run out of creative ideas. The location and their level of energy was just amazing!
So, what you’ll see in this post is just a very small fraction of the photos we took there. It was very hard for me to narrow down my top choices but what you’ll see here will give you a pretty good idea of what you are to expect if you are planning on having your engagement session at the Bronx Botanical Gardens.
Alright! Here we go… 🙂
I can’t believe I climbed a tree for this shot LOL. But it was totally worth it. 🙂
After a romantic moment like the above, something funny had to be said by Josh. Only she knows the words spoken there. LOL
In the image below I absolutely love how the breeze picked up just enough to add movement to her hair and dress adding dimension to the image.
The two images below were taken at the flower exhibition where they have tons of different flowers. It was just gorgeous!
An Improvised model session.
Here we have a few images of an improvised model session I did for Stephanie which at the same time was a gift for Josh. 🙂 One of the things I’m known for is my “Bridal Glamour” style in which I use my fashion and old Hollywood glamour techniques to my weddings. In this case I just took some photos of Stephanie – I just couldn’t waste the opportunity.
For the photo below they really wanted to climb that tree for this shot. I can’t blame them, I had climbed one before for an earlier shot too. lol 🙂
So, these are just some examples to inspire you for your engagement session if you decide to go to the Bronx Botanical Gardens. The cool thing is that after the engagement session is over you can just hang out at the gardens and make it a fun and romantic day. There is so much to see there and the day will be unforgettable. 🙂
